Final countdown for Palestinian statehood bid? Please pray now.

Friday, 09 November 2012 07:32 | Written by Administrator

Final countdown to a PA vote at the UN on 15th or 29th November.
Please pray !!!

The Palestinian Authority has finally set a date for their long anticipated unilateral statehood bid at the UN. The vote is expected on either the 15th or the 29th of November.

Please would you pray that the vote would be postponed. Both the Americans and the EU are currently urging the Palestinians to postpone the vote in order not to interfere with the Israeli elections in January. We believe postponing the vote would give the nations more time to make up their mind and learn about the real meaning of a unilatera declaration of a  Palestinian state.

Please would you pray for your own nation that they would have the courage to vote ”no” once the statehood bid is presented at the UN.

Please pray that more and more nations would understand the implications of a ”yes” to a PA state with the Old City of Jerusalem as its capital as it violates both the legal rights given to the Jewish people by the international community in San Remo in 1920 and – more importantly – God’s eternal covenant with his ancient people and His land.

ECI will be in New York during the last week of November (26th November-1st December ). Please pray that we would accomplish everything that the Lord has prepared for us for us for that week.

ECI mission accomplished but the battle for Jerusalem continues

Saturday, 29 September 2012 15:33 | Written by Administrator

Thank you to all those who have stood with us this week in prayer as we have been in New York, praying and reaching out to world leaders. It has been a very good mission where we have managed to speak with some of the key decision makers in the world community and hence have been able to break some new ground. When I write this blog I am already at home and can look back at the week with gratitude. The Israeli Prime Minister is generally speaking seen as "the winner of the week", having been able to contrast the speches by his political enemies Ahmadinejad and Abbas. Contrary to last year he got standing ovations when he ended his speech. The choice between good and evil could not have been more clear.

Although the Opening session of the 67th General Assembly is soon over the battle for Jerusalem continues. It is widely believed that the PA statehood bid will be presented after the US election, most likely in the last week of November. ECI will continue to pray, educate and advocate for a united Jerusalem. Thank you for standing with us during these coming months.

Ahmadinejad used his UN address to prepare the way for the 12th Imam !

Wednesday, 26 September 2012 15:43 | Written by Administrator

We have just listened to the address of Ahmadinejad to the UN General Assembly. We have never before heard Ahmadinejad speak so clearly about the end of this world and the coming of the 12th Imam. Please pray that the journalists and opinion shapers of this world will understand what he is saying and that he is in fact preparing for coming destruction. We have been praying this week that Ahmadinejad would overetsp the boundaries which the international community can accept. Please pray for much clarity for those who will report about the speech to world media that it would be crytsal clear what he believes in and how he can not be entrusted with nuclear capacity.

Report from meeting at the headquarter of the Iranian delegation

Tuesday, 25 September 2012 16:04 | Written by Administrator

This morning I had breakfast with a friend in the Warwick Hotel here in New York which is hosting the Iranian delegation. The whole lobby was full of Iranians; spies, security people and diplomats. I have never seen so much hatred and demonic activity as I saw during my stay there. As I was downstairs in the lobby people would go in to the stairs leading up to the suite of Ahmadinejad. We saw the Iranian foreign minister go in to the room as well as other diplomats. Please continue to pray as we move in these spiritually very sensitive areas.

Correction. PM Netanyahu to speak on Thursday.

Tuesday, 25 September 2012 15:55 | Written by Administrator

Please note that there is a new schedule for the General Debate which started this morning at the UN. It is still true that Ahmadinejad will speak on Wednesday ( morning ), which is Yom Kippur. The next day both the Palestinian leader Mahmud Abbas and the Israeli Prime Minister will address the UN General Assembly. Netanyahu will speak around 12.30 pm local time. Please pray for Netanyahu as he prepares for his speech and for UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon that he will have the courage to stop Ahmadinejad if he continues to attack Israel verbally in his speech by denying the Holocaust or by threateming to to wipe Israel off the map.

Breakfast tomorrow in the same hotel as Ahmadinejad

Tuesday, 25 September 2012 02:20 | Written by Administrator

Please pray as I was invited earlier tonight to have breakfast with a friend in the same hotel as Ahmadinejad stays. This is a unique opportunity to pray in to the very headquarters of the Iranian delegation and perhaps even meet some of their diplomats. Please pray for wisdom and protection as I will, spiritually speaking, enter the Lion´s den.

Bible believing Christians can help Israel win the Diplomatic war. This is the conclusion in an Op-Ed article written by ECI and published today in Times of Israel. Whereas Christians can have a real influence in turning their nations right towards Israel the ultimare victory of course can only be won by through the Second Coming of the Lord and through His Messianic Kingdom reign from Jerusalem. But even as we wait for that day each believer is called to pray for the peace of Jerusalem. In ECI we believe that prayer, education and advocacy can help Israel win the diplomatic war but at the end of the day only the Lord himslef can establish His Kingdom rule. This week we will again proclaim the Messianic vision of World Peace which can be found in Isaiah 2 and also written at a moument right across from the UN building in New York.

At a Press Conference in New York on Wednesday UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon said that he supported the Palestinian right to statehood, but urged them to achieve it through a negotiated settlement. It is now also become clearer that a non-state membership ( which can not be vetoed by the Security Council ) would in fact set the territorial terms for a negotiated two-state solution along the pre-1967 lines with East-Jerusalem as the capital of the new Islamic Palestinian state. A General Assembly resolution establishing Palestine as a non-member state could be considered a d efact recognition of statehood. Palestinian negotiator acknowledged that they still lack the nine votes ( out of 15 ) needed in the Security Council in order to be granted full membership in the UN.

Watch and Pray through the UN General Debate LIve

Friday, 21 September 2012 06:06 | Written by Administrator

Now you can pray as you watch the UN General Debate live. This is a fantastic opportunity that previous generations never had. We would encourage everyone who can to actively listen to speeches of the 193 Government Leaders or Heads os States as they start the General Debate of the UN General Assembly on Tuesday 25th September 9.am local time. The debate will go on all week and also include Monday October 1.

This is a wonderful way to literally pray for the whole world as you pray for the leaders of the 193 UN Member States as they enter "the Valley of Decision." You will note that not all countries will speak about Israel or Jerusalem but many will mention it in their speeches, hence giving an indication as to where they stand on the issue.  You will find a complete list of speakers on the following website

http://www.innercitypress.com/ga1gdicp072012.pdf

Some highlights: Iran is scheduled to speak in the morning of Wednesday 26 September. The Palestinian Authority will speak on Thursday 27 September in the morning. Israel will speak just before lunch on Friday 28th September. It is unlikely that a vote on a unilateral declaration of a Palestinian state would take place next week but by listening to the world leaders you will hear what they think about it. If there would be a vote on PA non-state membership in the UN General Assembly it would probably take place in November. But nevertheless, this is the only time of the year that government leaders from the whole world gather in one place to speak to the whole world. Please pray that many nations would firmly stand up for Israel. Please pray for the Israeli Prime Minister as he delivers his most important speech to the UN during his entire career.

You can watch the debate live on the following website http://webtv.un.org

Abbas confirm plans to bring statehood bid to the UN on September 27

Wednesday, 19 September 2012 14:14 | Written by Administrator

PA leaders Mahmud Abbas confirmed on Tuesday his plans to bring the Palestinian Statehood bid to the UN General Assembly on September 27th.  Achieving the status of Non-Member state in the UN would enable the Palestinians to argue that they are living in a state that is occupied by another country.

Important video about the real meaning behind the unilateral PA statehood bid

Wednesday, 19 September 2012 10:17 | Written by Administrator

The vote in the UN General Assembly about a unilateral declaration of a Palestinian state will be a vote about conflicting claims to the land of Israel. Watch the video ( from last year ) to hear what these conflicting claims are.

PA leader Abbas denies any historical connection between Jerusalem and the Jewish people

Wednesday, 19 September 2012 06:03 | Written by Administrator

The battle for Jerusalem is a battle for the truth. On April 25th, 1920 the Supreme Council of the Principal Allied Powers gave the Jewish people the right to reconstitute their own state. At this meeting, which was part of the Paris Peace Conference, the historical, cultural and religious connections between the land Israel and the Jewish people were once and for all established in International law. No part of Israel is more central to this connection than the city of Jerusalem. Still to this day the Palestinian leaders refuse to acknowledge any connection between Jerusalem and the Jewish people. According to them, there can only be peace in he Middle East when Jerusalem is "liberated." Please pray that the international community would finally hear what the Palestinians have been saying already for years and realize how unrealistic and wrong their demands are.

How can YOU be part of our mission to the UN?

Tuesday, 18 September 2012 05:46 | Written by Administrator

In exactly one week from now, on Tuesday 25th September, the General Debate of the 67th General Assembly of the UN will commence. Each day some 23 Heads of States or Government leaders will speak in the General Assembly. The General Debate will go on until Monday 1 October. According to the preliminary list of speakers the Israeli Prime Minister would speak on Friday 28 September. The Iranian leader Ahmadinejad would speak on Wednesday 26th September Yom Kippur, ( ! ) which is the holiest day in the Jewish year. Also the Palestinian representative is expected to speak before Prime Minister Netanyahu. We will keep youdated as the list of speakers is confirmed.

There are several ways in which you can help in this mission. If you are in contact with those in government or parliament in your nation you can kindly ask them to watch our 15-minute video "Give Peace a Chance. " on www.givepeaceachance.info or order a copy of our latest book, written by Dr Cynthia D. Wallace, about the International Legal Rights of the Jewish People and the State of Israel and the Implications for the Proposed New Palestinian State. Many copies have already been handed out to key members of governments in several nations.

But at the end of the day this is still a spiritual battle. Please would you join our campaign to pray and fast for a shield of protection over Israel during this difficult time and for your own nation, that your government leaders would align with God´s plans and purposes for the Jewish people and the land of Israel. We believe this means a clear "NO" to a unilateral declaration of a Palestinian State. If you also want to help us financially you can click on the donate button on our website. Thank you for your prayer and support.

How did you nation vote in 2011?

Monday, 17 September 2012 12:57 | Written by Administrator

In order to pray intelligently for the international community in the General Debate of the UN General Assembly next week it is important to know where the nations stand on the issue. There is now a Wikipedia article which identifies how the UN member states were planning to vote last year together with statements they made in the General Debate. Please study the important information as you pray for your nation to align with God's plans and purposes for the land of Israel and the Jewish people.
