In many parts of the world 11th November is marked as a special day of prayer for revival and renewal. Some feel that this may, symbolically, be the beginning of the 11th hour and others are conscious of the fact that number 11 in Hebrew means ”transition.”

As millions of Christians will gather to pray we feel it is important to add another item: The unilateral declaration of a Palestinian state may be presented for a vote in the UN Security Council in New York on this very day, 11-11-11.

As this day may prove to be an important day – for better or for worse – we feel it is imperative that we call upon believers to pray for protection over Jerusalem and the state of Israel.

As we are issuing this call for prayer it is exactly 11 days until 11-11-11- and we feel an urgency to pray.
